Hi All,
New owner of a 2020 1000sx after 10 years with a VFR. Will be using it for touring/commuting. Anyone know if the side cases for previous years (2016-2019) will fit the 2020? It appears that most places, Kawasaki included, state they are out of the 2020 cases. Thanks very much for any info.

I always speculate that they make the most minor tweaks just so you can't use them from one generation to the next.
Have you asked the dealer? Not many here have the 2020 so the answer may not be easy to come by.

Thanks, will check with the dealer. I anticipate your speculation will hold true....

The ninja 1000 seat has been compatible from 2011-2019. The odds of that same seat not fitting a 2020 are very low. I'd have to say zero chance. Especially when Sargent shows the same seat fitting the ninja 1000 from 2011-2020.

They have changed the seat several times, but that doesnt mean the new bike needs it's own special 2020 seat.

In all seriousness, this 2020 bike is a warmed over 2011. Its decorated differently, but the two bikes share more parts than they have differences.

I know the size of the seats change, in terms of padding, but the pan likely stays the same. My old Kawi tail bag that fit on my 2015 was not supposed to fit on my 2018 because of that. I forced on it on, so it does fit but barely, clearly indicating there was a change to the passenger seat, but more so in terms of height due to the extra padding and not much else.

I spoke to both Sargent and Corbin and neither would confirm fitment for the 2020 Ninja 1000SX.
Since seats are not returnable you take a gamble.

I also have a 2004 ZRX and between the stock, Sargent, and Corbin seats I prefer the Corbin.
