So bike makers are succumbing to emission regs just like the auto makers, with Kawasakis announcement they are developing supercharged motors and Suzuki announcing their intent with Turbos I just wonder why small diesel engines have never been done in a motorcycle? I mean, imagine the low down torque...

;) tell me why its wrong...

It's a good move, i would love to have a turbo diesel bike. With the demands they have for bikes going with a diesel setup might be best for them

I would think that for adv bikes, diesel would be perfect -- lots of torque. Diesel doesn't generally have the rep of being a high horsepower motor, so sport bikes might not be so great with diesel.
