Touch Up Paint

I can't take credit for this, as I came across it in another post, I can't find it now to credit it...plus it might be from "another" forum. Sinful Colors brand nail polish, color name Happy Ending :) is almost as perfect as it comes in terms of being a color match for the Candy Lime Green and for covering up any nasty rock chips. I tested a spot on a piece of cardboard and it dries to dang near perfection. I'm willing to bet that the blue next to it "Love Nails" will probably be a perfect match as well. The wife found it at Walgreens for $2 and took this pic to share.

Nice! Thanks for sharing.
So you say your wife found it?

Well that's certainly a different find. I think I'm staying with Color Rite myself.

...Ok, it's my own personal supply.

Nothing wrong with that...for $2 though I think you'd be really surprised at the color match.
Id like to paint my mid fairings green. How many bottles should I buy? ;)
You owe my granddaughter for this.

She found it, in Walgreens, and screamed, "LOOK PAPA! NINJA GREEN!"

Its way easier to use than color rites 3 part nonsense, and a more accurate match for the average person. A pro touch up painter might make the three part work better, but Ive never been able to.
I ended up buying a "Factory Pack" of paint for fixing the saddle bags I bought here.

But

That does look rather close. For the average eye, and the 5 ft rule, it'll probably do just fine.
I have the three pack kit, too.

If the paint were 5mm thick, I'd have a chance with it.

There is no way to lay on coat 1, then coat 2, and finish with the third and have it look right. Must be a better way than with the brushes?
^Not without sanding and blending there isn't. At least there's no other technique that I've seen.

I wonder how long the nail polish would last in the sunlight/elements? Is it durable enough for this sort of thing?

Also, the color name, "happy ending". LOL Who chose that one? And love nails? WTF? The names for women's **** is just insane. Suitable I suppose, given the ones' buying it. :D
My touch up is holding up well....I think nail polish is paint, and nothing humanized about it!
