Not sure if all years are the same (2017), but the throttle cables and housing are this hellish design that can’t be used with any other housing, it is not threaded. Does anyone know of any replacement housings that fit? Don’t want to take the tank and airbox off again for the 20th time to replace to threaded throttle cables

These throttle cables are about as normal and ordinary as a throttle cable can be. What other cable did you have in mind to replace it with? If the cable does'nt contain threads. it would never allow any adjustment for wear. Eliminating the "threaded" portion will be difficult with that in mind. You do have a push/pull cable, but both will last, and do last many years without issue. If you are having cable trouble, its not the cable thats at fault.

The design of the cable on this bike, at the end connecting to the throttle housing, is not threaded, but rather a curved plastic design that fits into the plastic housing that came with the bike, and only that plastic housing. I ended up replacing the cables with new ones that are threaded on that end to give more versatility as to what housing I could use.
