Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knew if a ZX-10R wheel would be a direct swap onto our N1Ks? I only bring this up because I recently bent my wheel pretty terribly and was afraid that it would not be fixable (so glad I was wrong). I struggled finding any used N1K wheels but there are plenty of ZX-10s for ~200 out there on EBay. The ZX-10 wheels look identical to our wheels. Just wondering in case this ever happens to me again and it cannot be fixed.

Thanks,

No idea, but a mate told me our wheels are some older ZX-10R wheels (or look a lot like them).

And you can't find that info with OEM piece sites. As the color seems to radically change the part number here.

I would try to search on aftermarket wheel sites. If you find one for the Ninja 1000, check with which other bikes it is compatible.

That is what I was planning to do if no one knew off the top of their head.

Thanks

The zx6, from around 2006-2008 uses a similar front fork..?..

Even that is useless to judge the wheel by.

You know what might be useful? Step1. Find out what wheel bearing kit fits our bike. Up front, I know modern discs will switch around. Zx6/10 discs from 2006-2016 will fit our bikes. If thats true, the offset for the rims has to be the same, or very close.

If thats true, we need axle diameter, and wheel bearing kits will show that.

I did some looking on the all balls website and it looks like the bikes that have the same bearings as our bikes are as follows: Kawasaki ER-6N 09-10, EX 650R 06-15, KLE650 VERSYS 07-15, VN1500D 96-97, VN1500E 98-04, VN1500G 99-01, VN1500J 99-00, VN1500L 00-04, VN1500N 00-08, VN1500R 01-05, VULCAN 800 CLASSIC (VN800B) 96-05, VULCAN 800 DRIFTER (VN800C) 99-00, VULCAN 800 DRIFTER

The Zx-10 and 6 have different bearings but I am unable to find any diameters of inner and outer bearing races. Not really sure where to go from here.
