Yes, the 2014 mirrors are better. Too expensive, but a big improvement. They bolt right on, and look..well, like a 2014.
They will also accept the mirror extenders on ebay. If you add those, the 2013 mirrors are ok...not great, but ok.

does anyone know if they make smooth covers for the mirror holes? I'm thinking of going with bar end mirrors

After wrestling to remove the stock bar ends, what would be the degree of difficulty to install these?

I don't mind removing the stock stems and leaving the base section temporarily.

The 14 mirrors, with extensions, are excellent. I'd do that. I'm afraid these woudl interfere with the windshield....no proof, just a thought.

Tony, I dont know what planet I was on when I posted that abotu the bar ends...completely ignore that nonsense, and sorry for junking things up. They wont hit..they cant hit...
But, if you already have a 14, with good mirrors, just ebay spacer them. If you do, they'll be as good as any mirror you will run across.

OK.
I was going to say that you can put them under the handlebars or towards the outside and even if they were placed inward of the handlebar it wouldn't hit the windshield.
To install will I have to drill out what's inside the handlebar? It's not that simple as to use the nut thread already there?

The inserts, for the bar ends, are REALLY in there. Seriously welded and such. I'd say you just about have to adapt to them vs removing them.

I finally tried the mirrors I had mentioned.
They are small and low profile. There is a gap between them and grips.
Didn't get better view. If you wear gloves with knuckle protection they will rub and hit the mirrors frequently. Maybe turn the mirrors to the outside when riding and turn them inward when lane splitting or storing bike.

I still thing the 2014 mirrors with extensions is where its at. I have better visibility with this set-up than my Concours 14 has.

The guy who makes them is a trip. A perfectionist. If you take a micrometer to them, both match identically. No reason they need to be this accurate, its just what he does.
