Hi,
I bought my Ninja used and it had a ram ball
Stem mount but noticed no screw. The mount is rock solid, was wondering how it is so tight without the screw. It really bothers me that it is not installed as per instructions. I texted the guy I bought from and he said it is just wedged in there tight.
Question anyone know if it is a really tight fit without the screw and rubber plug? Should I leave it alone or try to take it out? I used to have the 12mm hex shaped stem mount which worked great.

I didn't like the rubber insert mount so I got a ball with an aluminum shim inside. It's worked great for 4 years. This mount simply has the shaft press fit or welded to the plate with the ball. Twist the entire top piece to loosen it. I think this is an early version (or knock off?) since they all have the screw/hex bolt mount now.

Kenor

Definitely could be an older version. It is reay tight in there. Might try to twist it out or leave it.

Thanks Jed

I have the same mount on on Ninja and recently tried to take it out. With the screw out I can't get it to budge. Its been installed for a couple years.
