Just traded up to a '14 Ninja 1000 from a '07 Honda VFR800A & with about a whole 300 miles on it. Dealer had a Candy Green with optional hard bags on the floor & we negotiated to include them in the sale. Waiting for Kawi tank protector & bag liners to come in. Parts guy found a kit from T-Rex which included frame & front axle sliders plus spools. Bike will be kept in Florida as I snowbird there/here. Back in NY I work part time in parts @ a very large Yamaha/Polaris dealership. So far, this is my 3d Kawi, previously rode ZX-11 & a ZX9R. This is too long an intro so I'll close now.

Welcome to the forum.
Congrats on getting a 2014 Ninja!
What other modifications and accessories do you plan on getting?
welcome to the newest and coldest N1K forum inside the 5 boroughs.

If I was a snowbird I would wait till later to fly back north. Where is your Yamaha/Polaris dealer located?

How would you compare Kawi to other Japanese bikes?
Wait a minute, you're not around nyc. You're close to Buffalo and the Falls.
Snow birds can't return unless the snow has melted and been cleared from the ground. Like Noah and the doves.

Yes, rear spools are 8mm which means the ones from Trex are being returned.

Dealership is Bob Weaver Motorsports, in North Tonawanda NY, northern suburb of Buffalo. This bike doesn't really have any competition from any other Jap maker IMO.
throw up some photos when you get the chance!
