Howdy... just got my first sport type bike, a 2013 Ninja 1000 ABS in white/black.

Got at end of season last year (I am in PA.), so I only got to ride it home (bought it 60 miles away), and one more trip, so only 111 miles on it.

I got a great deal on a new leftover in Nov. 2013. I got it OUT THE DOOR for $10,000, and that includes 6% PA tax and about $250 in paperwork. So basically got the ABS version for about $9100.

I knew the new model was coming out, but this bike already has way more torque and HP than I am used to, so the upgrade didn't matter. Would have like traction control, but essentially that would have cost me about $3300 to get a 2014.

I also like the white... I know a lot don't. Floats my boat. :D

Welcome to the newest and smartest N1K forum known to the Keystone State.

What part of PA?

Is it the side that says "soda" or the side that says "pop?"

You made the right choice. Keep more money in your pocket. White is right and black is beautiful.

I too got a leftover (a 2011 model in early 2012) for about the same as you paid but without ABS so you got a steal.

This bike is fabulous. I test rode a bunch of Yamaha's and BMW's during their test ride days and I always felt I got the best bike of all those I tested. Went again last year and tested more Yamaha's and still have not found a better all around bike.

The only complain is the seat. After 100 miles or so I have to stop and recharge my butt for the next 100 miles or so. Did a gel insert project with modest improvement, then bought the Sargent seat with modest results too.
