Hello Guys!

I just bought a 2012 ninja 1000 (here its called a z1000sx). It is my daily ride to commute to work. I wanted something more confortable than my Daytona 675, which I track!

So far I'm loving the new ride! it has a bunch of usable power, good brakes and pretty agile on traffic!

I'm looking forward to learning about this awesome bike!!

Thank you for the welcome guys!!!! I got it back yesterday from my mechanic... I changed all the fluids (brakes, coolant, oil), new filters, needed a new chain and got a little color added. Originally it was a black and grey bike and its now black and purple! It sounds too weird but it looks cool....

I love my Daytona but this Ninja is growing on me... A LOT!!!

Tony, I'm from bogota, Colombia. I will fill that info in a bit!

When you wrote "purple" I had my doubts but the pic erased my negative reaction. That looks solid. You can't say it's not original.

Colombia is now represented.

not bad at all, I was expecting the purple to be very in your face, but its not. Actually i think its more blueish purple, shall we call it blurple

never thought i'd say this but purple looks amazing, the stickers at the bottom also look great

I know i know!!! For some reason purple in the bike world is frown upon!!!! What I did was a black coat and some purple pearl on top.... actually I was going for a black look with a purple shine, but I miscalculated the number of coats and it came out looking like a deep purple, which I love!

I plan on doing the rims with the correct number of coats!!! Very subtle purple tint!!! I just didnt like the gray at all!!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words and not crucifying me for going "purple" on our beloved bike!!!
