I'm glad you noticed it. How many others would? Without a way to lift the front end. Difficult to detect while riding.

The pads wear so slowly that rotor damage can happen before the EBC pad ever beds in. Under racing conditions, the rotors still cool as you go down a straight. The dragging is there 24/7.

Did you buy the Vesrah pads Kenors suggested? If so, we pretty much have ride reports from every pad compound they sell, and they are all positive.

If someone told me to buy a Vesrah pads, but made me stay on a budget, I would buy this pad. I have these on the c14. Saving 20.00 per pad sat is a big deal because you have to buy 8 pads.

They are very good. The initial bite isnt heavy, but they are a massive upgrade over our stock pads.

If you watch eBay, the rear pad isn't more than 30.00 The rear pad is VD434jl.

Copy and Paste job from the other brake thread.

I went with the XX because I was told by a friend the ZZ and SS pads were recommended for race use only. Regular RJL or RJL-XX for street and some track were his recommendations.
I may try a set of SS or ZZ down the road.
Vesrah really needs a more user friendly website too. You can't easily find all of the pads that they sell for a particular motorcycle.
They don't show any racing pads for the N1K, you have to look for pads for an 08-15 ZX-10R.

I spent some time researching, I am posting info from Kurveygirl and Vesrah for others who may have a hard time finding it.
I have no affiliation with either company.

Yes, I bought those from his link. My initial impression is very good, but no had braking yet.
I'm just an old street rider. I'll be interested in your opinion since you'll be providing a much better test I'm sure.

Here is a picture of the three pads. Stock, EBC and Vesrah. Don‘t get hung up on the shinyness on two of the pads. That is just how the light was reflecting off of them. They all are shiny with the right camera angle. I could not get a picture of all three of them in the right light. The one on the left says “OEM”. Those are the pads that came from the factory on the bike.

I put 130 miles on the Vesrahs yesterday and when I got home I spun the front tire and there is virtually no rubbing sound and the tire spun four or five turns on it’s own. Fixed!

If you can, would you take a picture of the backsides? I know the EBC will have an "HH" on it, somewhere to show it's friction rating. Stock is "GF" or something like that, but I wondered what the Vesrah Jl will have?

They all have friction ratings. It's not much use for motorcycles as ours are usually near the upper limits, but it can be important for a car.

The EBC pad doesn't look flat, does it? Pad material is amazing, overall . Very clean and not a ton of wear for 31,000 miles. I don't think our upgraded pads wear that well. You

RC,
The Vesrahs are back on the bike and I don’t know what might be on the back. Picture of package below if you want to research.

The EBC says nothing on the back, but it is an HH.

Picture below is the Kawasaki OEM pad. HH

Thank you. I have the Vesrah JL on the rear of my bikes. I can look at them and see what their rating is. I wish that rating was more useful, or gave a more accurate profile of the pads.

As it is, you can compare an EBC HH rated pad to a Vesrah HH rated pad to the other brands HH, and they have nothing in common.

I forget what my stock car pads were, but when I changed them I went from an FF to a GG and the performance improvement was huge.

I would be interested in an update since you are running a different compound, so how do you like the Vesrah's?
I am still loving my RJL-XX pads, BTW.

I love them. The truth is that I never think of them, which is exactly what I want in my braking system. And there I no noticeable drag at all when I spin them on the stands
