I got a quote from AM as recommended. They were very nice folks, but unfortunately they were about $200/yr higher than what I already pay with AAA for similar coverage. Guess every company calculates rates differently

I had the same experience as Dan, only I'm with Progressive, and my rate dropped $100/year going from an '01 R6 to my '12 Ninja 1000, same coverage. Stunned, and thrilled.

I use progressive. I did an online quote and they wanted $2k. Tried again this time going from minimum and adding on. It was a little over $600. Called them up and got it down to $450. and they allowed me to pay by mail instead of auto-deduct. My last bike was a Hypermotard and the same thing happened so I was ready this time around.

Try Statefarm. If you have an auto policy, your motorcycle should be at a competitive rate. My 2014 N1K is 300/year with comprehensive coverage.
