Has anyone tried dropping the mirror posts down and then positioning the mirrors to look under your hands? With the stock mirrors and position(?) my hand and arms are blocking half the view. I have to move my arm and hand and lean over to look directly behind me. Other ideas/solutions?

What year is yours? I thought the 14 mirrors were pretty good, but became excellent if extended. The first gen were pretty useless...

I could not really come to terms with my 2012 mirrors. The extensions, or spacers on ebay help.

I switched to 2014's and with the spacers, they work very well.

Does anyone else incorporate those 2" convex mirror inserts? I used those on a previous bike and it did give an alternate view.
I know it doesn't extend the mirrors for view directly behind but doesn't it extend the overall field of vision?

Are the 14s taller or have longer stems or posts?

The 14 mirror face is shaped differently, plus the stem is as well. No pics available, but they are much better when its all said and done.

I looked everywhere and could not find pics of both mirrors together. Heres a thread thats helpful.

Where to buy 2014 N1K mirrors?

I've changed my mind a little after using them for a few months. They are a BIG improvement. I thought they were a so-so improvement until I noticed the ebay spacers would fit under the new mirror. Once spaced out, they are excellent. In stock, 2014 form..better, but still not great.

Its too expensive, though. Cost is @140.00 for the set, discounted online.

I just installed the 2014 mirrors on my 2012, they are better. No spacers just yet.

I test drove a 12 and did notice the mirrors were a little more blocked than the 14 I just picked up. I think the 14's are designed to block the wind off your hands in a way not usre but they are nice stock mirrors.
