Just last week, $250 Showbucks has been replaced with $500 Kash toward the purchase of 2014 or previous years new unregistered Kawasaki motorcycles.

Instead of 60 days, you now have 90 days to use it from time of receipt. This can be obtained at any Kawasaki sponsored event like Demo Days or the International Motorcycle Show coming to a city near you.

I used the $250 Showbucks to get a 2013 Ninja 300 for $4850 OTD. I plan to use the new $500 Kash on a leftover never registered 2011 N1K.

It works like this: You negotiate your best price at the dealership and then show them your Kash registration form. The dealer doesn't mind at all because it doesn't affect their bottom line since the discount comes from the corporate office.

I've never heard anyone else talk about this. I hate to see people leave money on the table. I thought $250 was a nice deal. $500 is twice as nice.

so you've got a '13 N1K and now you want to hop on an '11 as well?

you're not a new rider are you? I've seen on multiple other forums newer riders who hop from their newish 250 to a full on Liter because they want to be a big boy, it usually ends in disaster.

Don't know if this is the case, but it sure sounds like I've heard this scenario before....

Are these events held frequently? I've never seen one advertised in Toronto where I am living. You living in new York have every event happen right in the city. Must be nice, but also stressful having so much going on all the time.

I there a list of these events online or something. Are they just held by individual dealers?

I'm not a young gun with a death wish.

I started over 12 years ago on cruisers. I decided to try sport bikes and start slow with a N300. I rode a FZ1 at a Yamaha demo event and fell in lust. Since I'm partial to Kawi, I decided to get a N1K.

I think a jump from the 300 to a 1000 is better on the relaxed N1K as opposed to track demons like the ZX6R or ZX10R.

I don't know how Canada handles Kawi events.

You may have to wait until spring for demo rides. I thought the International Moto Show came to Toronto.

Your local dealer may have info.

I agree

The N1K is noticeably less aggressive than the ZX10R

ZX10R is awesome on the track but on the street it can get tiring fast.

Very rational!

Just had to ask, as I said I've seen the scenario before.

If you're into the FZ1 did you consider the Z1000? Although the Z is more hardcore than a comfier Ninja 1. The ZXs are a whole different breed :D but they sure are purdy

In a related story to Kawi Kash, according to the company website, the special incentive financing and rebates have been extended through 2.17.14.

2014 models qualify for 3.95% financing and 2011-13 qualify for that OR $1000 rebate.

Haven't found any leftover 11's in Fl yet, but did see one '12.

Doing test rides on the N1K and Z1000 the first week of March in Daytona!

Not going to pay '14 prices but would be cool if they extended the deal thru March in case there's a still leftover to be had.

Got the 250.00 show discount on a Versys there in '12. Coupons on new bikes...very cool.

My coupon that I got last week from the bike show here in Seattle is $500 good through April. I might go cash it in today on a blue 14 today. End of the month, dismal bike sales in the local market may equal good deal.

Yes, Kash is now worth $500 which is double what showbucks was.

You have 90 days from receipt of kash to use it, so you should have thru May.

You have thru this Friday to get an end of month deal. It should be a good time with the customer having the leverage. I don't know if Kawi will continue rebates and special financing in March but who knows.

What is your location? Include it in your profile.
