Unless you have some seriously strong 1/2 breaker bars and a 27mm socket, you wont do this yourself.
That front sprocket nut is very tight from the factory. I ended up needing a 36 inch breaker bar, and could have used more leverage. If the shop is charging anything under 50 bucks, its worth it. Maybe even more. Mine was almost impossible to break loose
