Hi all my first post in this section

Coming from a carburated bike to the ninja I was furious;y trying to adjust the idle yesterday morning and the idle cable has unscrewed from the bike.

The dealer can't get me in until next week so was wondering if there is a simple fix of taking off limited fairing to get it back on?

Any help greatly appreciated.

This is not hard to fix. If you had a trained chimpanzee, he could do it ,no problem. Their long, thin arms are perfect for motorcycle maintenance.

Heres a pic of where it screws back in place.

I believe you'll find bodywork covering this spot.
Ahhhh that's awesome, thank you very much. I have seen a thread on rider forums on fairing removal, looks like a little trickier than my ZZR. However armed with your diagram I may give it a go on Sunday. Thanks once again.

Thanks RCANNON apparently my status has risen to chimpanzee slightly trained. Taking the fairing off was fairly easy with the video you linked. The throttle bodies are right there so no issue screwing in the idle cable along witht he spring which handily dropped from the chin when I pulled those rivets.

So thank you once again for the help.
