Al here from Vancouver BC. I am completing purchase of a new 2014 Ninja 1000 (blue) and will pick up same in early January...so looking forward to getting to know the new bike! Been 10 years since I last rode ('97 Bandit 1200S)

Haha JohnC it's the great white north in name only...Sunny with cloudy today, no snow and about 8 C. Don't get much snow in Van...we're kinda the Canadian banana belt...many thanks for your sympathetic thought however!

Google tells me that 8C is about 46F. Too damned cold for me to ride! But glad you're gonna get to play with the new machine.

I know how you feel, Al.

I am waiting to get my new 2013 N1K delivered, soon I hope.
But unlike you there is no chance of me riding it, will have to wait until early April.
This is a fact of life in eastern Canada!
