ex sliders

seems like they protrude out quite a bit. hopefully, the bike would slide on them and not catch. I know, I know they are called "sliders".:D
Thanks maximus96792 - really appreciate! Clint1975.

These are shorter but I'm trying to find out from vendor if they would fit our bike.

The "missiles" that do fit would seem to protrude more than the engine frame sliders up front. Does that geometry affect slide and bike survivability? Would you want the first thing to hit the pavement to be the most secure (more points of connection to bike)?

Point taken. But because these are not made to act as a stand, As soon as it hits the pavement it will instantly shave away. And The picture doesn't really appear to show the true... new width. They are almost even, as far as the frame sliders go ....in comparison to the exhaust sliders. I layed the bike down to see the difference. Was too brief to take a picture so sorry for no picture proof. But when laying down there was a slight front up to it indicating the frame pucks were longer by a fraction to the exhaust pucks.
I can however only speak for the Model I bought. The one you show in the link you provided, I have no experience with.
Logically and in my opinion, I agree that your first contact would be beneficial to be with the most solid part of the bike.
I bought my pucks for the possibility of a low side. Fully aware that on a High side any and all protrusions will act as a sorta catapult during any somersault that may occur.

Shucks, i so didn't want this to become any sorta debate. I really just wanted info on exhaust can survivability.

always good to introduce possible new parts. not trying to criticize.
It's all good. Questions lead to answers or at least we exercise our minds a little.

It's supposed to be a 10mm thread. Is that the oem thread size below our passenger peg/exhaust strap?
Can someone verify that the bolt next to the passenger peg and used for the exhaust strap is 10mm

I have no idea on the size of the bolt itself but the size needed to remove the bolt is a 8mm. I just checked
Thank you

I bet those cheap ones would fit. It wouldn't be a costly guess. If only in carbon fiber, I would pull the trigger and make them fit.

Any update?
Those work for full size mufflers like the Yoshi but it would really stick out like a sore thumb with urban brawlers.

If they offered a shorter delrin puck that would be a great option.
Can someone make a shorter slider with a carbon finish? Is that asking too much?

I think one could be fabricated to suit your specialized needs. For Example, These Huge Missiles I have on mine work for the purpose i Keep them on for. For me its stand up Wheelies. When the front goes up, they act as more foot space and feel really comfortable. So yeah, get what works for your riding needs. And if all else fails......... Good ole' Fabrication is always an option........... Like this picture I Fabricated

Sharks all around........... Watching my Every Move

I just took that bolt off with a 6mm allen wrench. The bolt diameter with threads is just shy of 10mm.
