Exhaust Options

I'm assuming this must be a new forum it there aren't any threads about exhausts.

I don't mind the look of the stock exhaust but I know after market exhausts can add volume and a different style.

I've seen the Yoshi stainless and carbon fiber cans. Delkevic offers carbon cans for under $500.

I wanted some feedback about after market exhausts and how to address the cables in the right exhaust.

Well I haven't found any info on aftermarket exhausts so far.. not sure if previous Ninja 1000 exhaust are compatible or not.
still a good chance that previous Ninja 1000 exhausts work, just got to see specs on both year models and compare as well as the configuration
There has to be member pics of after market exhausts on their N1K.
Don't know if anyone actually has a 2014 Ninja 1000 yet.

No one does, if anything people are in the stage of putting down a deposit at this stage
Any exhausts that were compatible with the older Ninja 1000 should work with the new Ninja 1000, right? Is it possible that they won't be compatible with the new model?
Any pics of 2011 and newer N1K with after market exhaust?

That's a pretty comprehensive look.

That middle white bike with a delkevic 8" mini is a Ninja 300. There was another non N1K.

Does anyone have any personal experience or feedback on their chosen exhaust?

It all depends what you're looking for. Pure performance, more noise, a better look.

Termis, Akra, TBR those guys are top notch. Vance and Hines does good stuff as well.

I've got an old yosh slip on my gixxer which is not bad for a slip...
I was interested to hear from someone who had installed dual slip-ons to the N1K.

I heard about a cable assembly inside the right exhaust that needed to be terminated or secured.

Yoshi does look nice on these bikes (stainless with carbon tip and all carbon).

You could get (2) 13" full carbon fiber cans for under $500 with Delkevic.
That's a great look at some exhaust options. This one is my personal favorite of the bunch. I also like the one right below it in that post. The two brothers one with the black exterior. Now we just have to hear all the different exhaust notes.

I think searching on Youtube is your best bet

Look for n1k exhaust clips and see which one you like the sound of

the '14 N1K just came out, not likely you're going to get any concrete feed back until the spring when we start seeing all thr '14 spec gear get released...
We should take a poll asking how many members assume that this forum is only for 2014 models.

If I'm wrong, this would be the only forum I know of that only caters to a particular year.

There may be minor cosmetic or color changes or additional features since 2011 but there has been no major revamp that would warrant a special forum.

Our 11-13 did have the cable going to the right side. It was servo controlled and basically restricted the right exhaust under a certain rpm. Heres a good explanation of what it was supposed to do: Four-stroke power valve system - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In modern days, it became more of a noise control rather than a "power" device. Dont feel liek you got shorted on the 14. It coudl be that the right exhaust, lets call it the mid-pipe, length on the 14 is different due to this being removed, I've not seen one to compare. The factories have never worried about older aftermarket pieces bolting up, so ......
