Ouch, you sound like a typical motorcyclist, more worried about your bike than yourself. Keep us in the loop as your situation changes. There are some very experienced riders on this forum.
I know. im ok sore. it flipped me pretty good. pride hurt to. my bud said **** happens. I know it does. wish I had a mile on it at least!
ive owned many bikes. I commute 185 miles ad ay. 5 days a week. like I stated. oil was in the intersection. regardless. I was my time. im ok now. it will be fixed. at least my fz1 made past 0 miles! lol
Very sad story. I am wondering if you was using the traction control at mode 3 ?
I got my new ninja yesterday. I have already 275 Miles on it since the dealer was 3 hours from home plus Today i put anothers 60 Miles. When i got it i was using mode 3 in L power mode. Now today i changed to Mode 2 KTC and still in L power mode.
Don't think so. my control was off. I thought about that. may be? my tire along with being knew had thin sheen of oil splatters on it. we believe I was hosed out of gate. I am lucky. plastic and a rub down and it will look good again. my dealership is doing it for there cost of plastic, parts, and free labor. my pride? well its sucks. my wife was freaked out when I called her. she worries everyday about me riding to work. it could always be worse. o my rides new name. CRASH! only thing is. let it go and my ride should be back together next week.
I am not expert but i think the KTRAC will help a lot in a situation like that one.
;) True! wished I would have had it on now! fz1 has power high. this thing power down low. and all over. when I pick it up? Im doing what you did. 3 an 70 percent! and watch for oil. o yah. oil? right in front of jiffy lube exit! go figure!
No, your situation sucks. Traction control is awesome, but only helps when traction is to be had. Same with abs. It wont create. In a patch of oil, you have none. You ended up like they guy stepping on the banana peel.
Thanks rcannon. you know what sucks? the embarrassment! im having hard time with it. my Hommie at dealer ship really hooking me up on repairs. STILL brand new bike! [email protected]#$cking crashed!
Some times i think there is no way the traction control will help in oil. Probably will try to correct but avoit the slip will be imposible.
Sorry to hear Zeus... the big picture is you're OK and the bike is fixable. In time, this will make a good story. Hope you're back on the road soon.
wasn't Zues it was me  Blazeman. thank you, im banged up abit. ile live. could have been passing speed wreck instead. my bike will heal to.

Going down sucks. I have been down twice. Get that bike fixed fast. It will be like a ghost limb and make you sick to your stomach until you do.

Glad you are ok. Its only a temporary setback that some worthless green paper like vegetation will fix.
Blazeman, fate combined with oil spots has no idea if your bike is brand new or 20 yrs old.

Wrong place, at wrong time. Your guilt could come from, "Man, I should have looked where I was parking...."

Awesome idea, except for this. Usually as we get older, we've had friends or relatives saved or helped by Emergency Services. When you see those lights, we get the **** out of the way as we dont want to be THE guy who delays them.

So, whos to say....... You waited to find the perfect spot, but delayed them long enough to slow their response time. The person on the other end dies...

Or, maybe a master creator/manager runs things and knows HE had to keep you off that bike 20 seconds from that incident because a lady thats drunk, eating, texting and masturbating is going to run that red light....

 Thanks guys. could have been worse. ile post pics when I get it home redone. Guy on St 1300 pulled in when I cleared intersection. he seen the oil. my dealer walked down with clean up stuff so the next guy don't get hosed. the guy on ST thought I got plowed over. so everything ok. Im up moving around. my health for my family far more important than nuts an bolts.
I had my old Lexus in for some warranty work. As I was pulling in, I saw a lady leaving. The way she left the parking lot said she had an attitude going. Just as I cleared her vision, she stomped on the gas.

Her car, an LS460....similar ones showed a sticker price of @97,000, with options. The car she did not see hit her in the drivers side, front fender, and destroyed the front end.

Her back wheels never left the parking lot. Her paper tag had been attached less thna 5 minutes. You beat her!

Plus, your insurance cant give you the....well, with the mileage you've accumulated, its not worth....

I'm sure its haunting you, as it would me. Now its time to stop that. You've had days and hours to think about a situation where you has seconds to decide. I doubt you'd allow one of your kids to be judged like that, so dont allow you to do it to you! Its bad logic.

lol. im cool. $275 fairing piece. he can J/b weld and sand side case, turn signal, and saggle bag. $400? with out bag. well see on Tuesday about bag.
Sir, no jb weld. FIX IT. Why? You'll have to look at it every day, and remember.

If going cheap, order mail order parts. OEM parts can be very good price online, or ebay.

At some point, the part of you worth that new bike is worth new parts, too.
