I found a dealer about 100 miles from me with a '14 Green N1K with bags. Rode over to see it, and just couldn't stand not buying it. Needs servicing, so will pick it up Tuesday. Tick, Tick, Tick ....

Did the same myself with same hard bags. You'll like the utility of the bags & lack of frames when they're dismounted.

Thats such a fun time in buying a bike....I wish everyday felt like the day before picking up a new bike. I think thats why rich propel often turn to drugs and such...That feeling woudl nto be so intense if we could buy the new bike everyday.

I'm glad you bought the superior green color. Its well known that they use the blue color to cover up mistakes when they tried to paint the bike the correct green.

rcannon - that's why I went with the green -- didn't want a bike with a botched up paint job. LOL.
And you are right about the purchase "high". I buy stuff all the time for that high (not drugs), much to my wife's dismay. Amazon really ratcheted things up for me - overnight or second day delivery !!

Picked up the bike yesterday afternoon. Had 1 mile on the odo. Sheer agony having to ride at no more than 4000 rpms the whole 110 miles home.
First impressions - seat is harder than on any of my other bikes. Gonna have to do something about that. Throttle response, wind management, brakes --- all fantastic. It was only in the 70s here yesterday, so I couldn't really tell if the bike was putting out a lot of heat, but if it was, I didn't notice it. My wife, who was following me home, commented that the bike needs more lighting on the rear - the tail light alone was inadequate. Hope to get the rest of the breakin done by this weekend.

Yup. The baby got a spot in my garage with the VFR and Wee-Strom. The "adult", the Goldwing, got moved to my carport (with a Dowco Ultralight Plus cover). It can fend for itself.
