This bike is equipped with color-matched factory 28-litre side cases, each capable of holding a full face helmet or clothing for a multi-day outing. The single-keyed, locking cases go on or off the bike in a matter of seconds. These cases and the necessary mounting equipment were an $1,100 option when I bought the bike. This was my first litre bike, having ridden mostly 650's and 750's before. With 140 hp, this bike is potent, but disciplined and predictable. ABS helps keep you out of trouble full time and 3-stage riding modes can help tame the beast for commuting in rain or other "iffy" conditions. The Kawasaki Z1000SX is equipped with a 41 mm inverted fork with stepless compression and rebound damping and spring preload adjustability and a rear horizontal back-link, gas-charged suspension with stepless rebound damping and remote spring preload adjustability. They say top speed is near 150 mph, but I've never pushed much beyond 130 and that's a thrill ride enough for me (Nevada is home to Highway 50, the "Loneliest Road in America").
Pirelli Angel GT tires recently installed and have thousands of miles to go. Puig smoke windscreen mounted and OEM screen included. Wired for a battery tender. Base mount for a RAM phone mount. Whereas the N1K has no center stand, I'll include a front/rear Pitbull wheel lift.
