2014 N1K with bags exhaust option

I work at a large multi line dealership & was reading thru a catalog of updates from Parts Unlimited. Both full & slip on exhausts from Akropovic are listed BUT both will NOT fit with the factory bags. FYI.

This is not a comprehensive or authoritative list but:

Akra megaphone?

Exhausts that will not

Any corrections or additions?

This certainly isn't good news for me. I'm going to buy the cases for my Christmas present, and had the Akrapovic pipes and the Two Bros on tap to install in the spring.

What is it, the length or the angle, or both?
It has to be both.
Some are disqualified because of length
And the angle on something like delkevic rule it out even though it's only 8".
You folks should talk to Dale Walker @ Holeshot.com about this. He generally makes his exhaust cans in a variety of lengths and angle bends. I'm betting he could fab a specific cannister up for youses & do so gladly. Dale's stuff is most excellent and so is he.

Revzilla is doing pre-orders on the yoshimura R-77 slip-ons. The installation PDF actually shows them installed with the bags.

Revzilla also has akra slip ons compatible with the side cases now.
The Yoshi's are my choice when I get round to changing them, not that I have side cases to worry about, but the flexibility is welcome should I look to use my '13 N1K for longer distances or commuting!
I went to Akrapovic website and they say that the slip on fits with Kawasaki bags.

The Akrapovic's at least at Revzilla are about twice the price of the Yoshis. Can't see they'd be that much better. Two Brothers are less expensive yet, but I don't know if they'd work with the bags.

Yoshi's are stainless steel, akra's are titanium. Large quality and some weight difference there. Akra has a reputation for only using high end materials while yoshi tries to push price down using different materials. Personally I'm willing to go the extra mile for akra.

Not all Akro headers are titanium so please make sure that's what you're getting if you want to pay the extra $ for a full exhaust.

The akrapovic headers that Revzilla sells are listed as stainless steel.
Ok with me, but the weight is not a real issue for me.
I was referring to just the can portion since I haven't even seen yoshi headers on revzilla yet. Sorry for not making that more clear!
I have a phone number for Akroapovic America if anyone is interested. While I am not interested in making my ride 'loud' I think the factory cat is hideous and restrictive. I think an eliminator would probably be enough.

Because the 2014 is so new I think it is really going to be just a waiting game until exhaust manufacturers start seeing demand.

I ran an m4 slipon on my gsxr and it was louder and had more buz.. but the 11 gsxr came with a titanium muffler so I saw minimal weight savings and no discernible power gain. It was loud without being terrible.. I purchased it mainly for looks and 'throttle-horn' as I am firm believer in audible alerting for other travelers.

IMO: I don't think the slipons would be a worthwhile upgrade on the n1k.. and will wait until I can do the full exhaust - that clears the boxes.
Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm wondering what about the Akra single exhaust that isn't compatible with sidecases, whereas the dual is? Are the slip'ons different sizes?
Norskie, I have not found information that any Akro header is compatible with the side cases on a 2014.

If you have found otherwise please share. Right now the only thing that will fit with cases is the slipons... Which are not going to eliminate that awful cat assembly hanging under the bike.

Ah good point, I was looking at this for my 2011.
The Yoshi will clear the bags per their website.
I know it's been mentioned that the Delkevic's (any of them apparently) won't clear the KQR bags, but I'm wondering if a slight tweak is all that's needed. If the link pipe is shaped right, is it possible to make an extension for the mounting strap so that it would sit more level? Does anyone have either the Mini 8's or DS70's and willing to check it out?
