What is pricing supposed to be like for both the ABS and non-ABS 2014 Ninja 1000?

UPDATE: Kawasaki Ninja 1000 Price/MSRP is $11,999
Got mine for $9939.00 in Georgia. That's with no sales tax which I had to pay to the state of Indiana. If you pay $11,999 your crazy. Anyone who wants the name of the dealership shoot me a PM. Jay

Guess i payed to much here in florida
I just bought a new 2013 ABS for $10,000 out the door.
For Lone Star riders the best price I've seen for a 2014 N1K is the Kawasaki dealer in Irving, here's the link http://www.kawasakicityirving.com/n...odelSearch=ninja+1000&location=&submit=Search.

That's where I got my new 2012 ABS model in June.
A dealer in W Va had a 2014 blue N1K on eBay last week for $8495, Out the door, tax not included.
I just bought a new 2014 ABS for $8,980 in Florida.

This thread makes me sad, those are some great deals!
I'm not sure I'm saddened as much as concerned for the future of the model. I haven't heard of anyone who paid anywhere near full price, and most of the folks I know who have bought have been able to find earlier models still on the showroom floor, brand new. I bought an extremely low-mile used one myself for dirt money.
I really like the 2015 scheam color but the dealer does not want to go lower than 11,999 for that unit. I try in 10 diferent dealers and same thing. I can not let go the $8,980 offer for a 2014 ABS 0 Miles unit. Probably order all the 2015 fearings will be cheaper than buy the 2015 model.

Your point is brilliant, and if conventional marketing applied, it would be right on. In motorcycling, it never has. Kawasaki sold a lot of 2011's and 2012's for near full price, then rebated about the time I got mine (At 0%)...then started closing out.....JUST as the 14 rolled in...

Then the 14 sold for retail, now slightly discounted, and the last few will be discounted heavily, and the cycle repeats. Summer usually always means high prices.

What Honda is doing with the Grom is awesome, and allows for full price, but sends too many peopel walking to other models simply because there are no bikes to be bought.

Sadly, this kills our resale value, but few ever consider THAT when signing the documents for the bike at full retail.

Plus, online prices paid are often very different from reality. I know people who paid 10,300...sort of..but their final bill was 12,600 once they finished with accessories and the stupid extended warranty.
The MSRP is already inflated enough to make good profit for the dealer and all parts. This is the same case of the Suzuki Hayabusa. The MSRP is 15K almost and all dealers cut the price to 13.9K up to 10,999 for a 2014 model. This is the nature of the market. Everybody makes money anyway. I don’t think will be affected the model. Instead will be good.

I only paid $8499 for my blue 2014 plus tax, tag, title. No setup fees or dealer fees, so that got me out the door for less than 9K here in WV. I liked the gray 2015, but not enough to pay that much more for it. I got my bike for cheaper than most used 12-13 models I see.
Thats the best deal so far.
There is a white 13 priced at $7995 close to me at a different dealer than i purchased from, so not sure on dealer fees or anything. The white is one of my favorite colors, but the upgrades on the 14 were too much to pass on IMO.

I also am a fan of the new Charcoal gray 15', that's what lead me to the dealer in the first place. My Dealer qouted me $10,599 in january for a new gray one he didn't even have on his floor yet. Still figured the savings for the 14 in a color I can live with was worth it to me.
wow i'm probably not the only Canadian but the 2014 models go for about 12 000$ without tax and preparation and their are not many left. A 2015 model is well around 15 000$. If it wasn't for the trouble it's a lots less expensive seeing the prices in the states!

I bet money this is the bike i now own.....
