I'll bet the saddlebag thing is why they dont show this z 1000 header, for our bikes? Maybe they just added it? I like it. The arrow uses springs up around the head connection, and they are a pain in the ass to deal with. I dont see that on this one. I'm sure it's not amazing quality, but there are still some good advantages for such a low price. Also, they sell factory direct. If this header made a trip through Parts Unlimiteds warehouse, like Akra does, its selling for closer to 450-500.

I saw this one for 310.00 on their site, but it was in the z 1000 section. Z 1000 / Ninja 1000 : Danmoto, Motorcycle Racing Parts & Accessories

Dam RC those headers look good and even have the rear hanger on it, I wonder where they get the 4 hp gain, sounds like the same diameter tubing as the stock but without the cat and bread box. That’s one way to get rid of the square bread box.

What did you think about the XG-1? Like the brawlers but looked longer and thinner.

Mark, even a full on akra is listed as a +10 hp gain on the newer bikes. Better than 4, but nothing like the gains we have on our older bikes. It would be interesting to see one, first hand. I'm sure the premium systems make more power, but that extra power is at such a high cost.

Kenneth it’s going to be hard to beat the brawler design and looks, I will say they are pretty dam durable as I have had no issues and you don’t have to repack them lol.

Yesterday and today has been major wreck city around here, I drove passed 3 bad wrecks yesterday all in town and they kept coming today, me and the daughter went for a ride yesterday and she said let’s go to the country lol, she had seen enough that she wanted to get the hell out of the city, at least I know she is thinking about the traffic safety situation while riding.

I had a good ride in the canyon, today. Went as high as I could before the roads got too sketchy. Lots of snow this year, and it was melting . When that happens, there is all kinds of wet spots, and you dont really know where those will be. I seriously enjoyed this bike. I started the ride with about 3 gallons of fuel in the tank. It handles great when the upper gallon, or two is missing. It reminds me that this bike was the z 1000, and the extra fuel was a "add on" . That ends up working out as you get to burn the fuel off on the way there.

I notice my rear Michelin pp3 is about finished. Will be lucky if I get a full 2000 miles from it. No wonder Michelin does not sell them anymore. The front tire really does not compliment this bike until the center section is worn. I think I will go for the Pirelli AGT . The tire is getting a bit old, but never finishes lower than 2nd in any of the shootouts.

I would be surprised if you didn't like the AGTs @rcannon409. Great grip, excellent milage and can take a beating. Or at least the A spec can.
