Well looks like im going to get a taste of stock car racing again, my buddy just built a sportsman late model, i been melting down lead to go on his frame, hell it only weighs 2300 lbs, its got one hell of a motor in it, we are going to try and run it at I-75 speedway saturday night unless the rain gets us. At least i got rid of my toxic lead surplus about 70 lbs.

@rcannon409 I think I may have just gotten lucky is all on the gauge reading somewhat accurate.
On the exhaust when I talked to Ivan on the phone the second time after he received the used ecm... I told him again about the exhaust and he just said "that's going to be loud".

Doubt you remember me asking here if anyone knew where the N1K liked its AFRs. You know a little rich or a little lean? Now I'm drawing a blank on what I had when they Dynoed it .. just know it was good is all and made better power. But I did wonder if it would be lean.

He is going to drive it on the maiden voyage to see if any thing lets loose Hopefully on the hot laps if it does, then we will split the driver duties. I really dont want to get back in racing, im going to help him get started and bow out hopefully, its a 2 hr round trip to get back and forth to the track, i kind of got burned out when i did it full time.Do you remember what your power was on the dyno.

Avintage i noticed on your high speed runs your instrument cluster is showing a full tank, id loose about half of that and see if it makes a difference, what brand and octane of fuel are you running or do you prefer. Im going to pick up 15 gallons of aviation fuel tommorrow, i might get a few extra gallons to play with, you cant beat it when you top off the tank with it in the winter keeps the fuel system clean.

There's no luck with an electronic tach.. It either is, or it's not. When Kawasaki programs it that way, that's where you are at.

If you are running the full exhaust flash, there should be no issue with lean.,....I do get what you are saying, though. If you compare the center of a Leo Vince exhaust, it's straight through, and a very similar diameter as a brawler....its a lot like a Brawler, really, except the sound deadening material is around the Leo Vince, and so its a lot larger, physically, but the guts, or lack of guts is very similar.

How about the ecu trying to correct on the new input numbers thats been reflashed in the ecu is it possible? You have always herd that there is some correction with the stock ecu.

Yeah during a top speed run I can feel the fuel slosh in the tank so usually top it off to help with not having to deal with that distraction. I try and run Chevron or Texaco but look for newer stations that look like there taken care of mainly. I change Octane depending on altitude and temp. Up North at 3000 feet it was in the high 80s that day so I was more then likely running 90 and down South it was cool that morning but below 300 feet so would guess it was 91 or 92. As for 25 lbs slowing me down I've no clue to be honest but can tell you a loose set of jeans flapping in the breeze will give you rug burn on your thigh.

That 2016 flash is way different than the 11-13, so anything could be possible.

They all blend together, now, but it was a year or year and a half before that 2014 bike had a flash available for it, from Ivan.

To be honest it was more of a trust issue with Ivan at that time. Yoh know I had a 2 month old bike and some guy in NY who was reportedly this God on the N1K and talked about damn near world wide. Just to good to be true it seemed, so I was just asking to be safe at the time.
Today if Ivan said hey pull the # 2 spark plug you won't believe what it does for power, I'd be removing the 300 screws from the air filter housing. Well maybe not but if it made sense I'd be all over it.
