Butt dyno says it still feels as strong as before but I can't see how.
Not long ago though I went stupid and forgot for a minute I'm running a front tire with a plug it. Granted I've put 4800 miles on it since it was plugged but none the less stupid as hell I know... anyway I put the spurs to the girl as I passed an older 2005 ish GSXR 1000 on the interstate.
As he slowly passed me back about a mile later at about my 165 indicated more like 160 actual with about 5 miles an hour on me. I was wondering is it the box? The sprocket? Or a combination? I also had the mirrors out so that didn't help and I was just wearing my armor under jeans and my white jacket which fits loose. Not aerodynamic for sure. FYI rpms were at 10100 so yes I'll have to get it Dynoed to tell for sure.
When I get new shoes put on her though I'll leather up nice in slick and air it out good, and get video of it for you.
No Rock not that kind of video.

Avintage 165 on a plugged tire really! Dont you think 4500 miles after the plug is good enough lol, get that dang tire off before you forget again, what rpm was ivans flash good for was it 10,500 rpm, do you think you had any left at all, if i say i had mine to 165 mph please somebody have me commited, im glad you dont have a zx-14 lol.Patientally waiting for that 165 mph video, for legality you forgot to say maybe i was running 165mph on the interstate or maybe i was not lmao, it had to be that dam muffler box that slowed it down lol.

Stock I would bump the limiter at just a tick over 11000 on my tach, after Ivan's it was 11500 pretty much straight up and down.

With Ivans flash, the red line is 11,500. The display, on the bike, will be reading closer to 12,250. The on bike display is not very accurate, and it @750rpm away from reality.

I've seen many tach's the way you described @rcannon409. Very bad either down low or up high and only sometimes right in-between. LOL

To my knowledge though this one has proved to be fairly accurate at least according to the set rev limit by the manufacturer and then Ivan's raised limit.
Here is a picture showing stock rev limit as I was just bumping it in this snapshot just a few seconds after running up against it pretty hard a couple of times.

This one was after Ivan's and with a new 190 55 Battlax S21 and again barley bumping the rev limiter.

What do you guys think qualifies for decent engine life?

If Marks daughters daughters ninja neded a rebuild, at 50,000 miles, would you guys be ok, or,pissed off? How about your Ninja 1000? Would a 50k lifespan be acceptible?

In my youth on the Ninja 600 and then the ZXs after that.. I was very happy with 30,000 miles. Then over joyed when I sold the first zx6 with 42,000. Today, 50,000 seems very achievable on a motorcycle that used hard but maintained and 75,000 if only used spiritedly yet taken care of. Obviously the bike will make 100,000 if ridden properly and maintained as we've seen on the forum.

Was looking at the led headight for the 2017 and 2018, if you loose those led lights it is only $932.00 to replace, the ninja 400 must be a little better its $964.00 to replace.

My info is right from Ivan. It may have been different for the 2016 bikes? I never discussed the 16 with him. Is your flash for the full exhaust? Mine reads @ 12, 500 before I run into the soft limiter. I had my " real "red line raised to 11,750. Version e6?

You can see the numbers on his dyno chart....Stock vs nodded
