In The Waiting

So, have upgraded to akrapovic headers, bought Black Widow 300mm slip on, and have sent out ecu to Ivan's, hoping for return in next week or so. Have no idea what slip on's sound like yet...but we're the best bang for buck here in Canada. Also not sure what to expect from flashing ecu as I have read so varying testimonies here. I have only run headers with stock exhaust so far but am guessing that was a 8-9 hp gain, ecu and slip on's may be another 10hp? My brief chat with Ivan was good, with him saying great gain in bike wheel coming up in 1st, 2nd easily, but have read one disappointed report on forum.
Will let you all know what transpires.

Dennis, he will turn that ecu around the day he gets it. He would be incredibly pissed off if he did not. Mine have always been shipped priority, 2 day, signature required, so keep that in mind. I usually leave a signed letter on my front door, begging the person to leave it and I'll take responsibility.

Guys I'm sure the Ivans flash is good, but in hind sight.. i will wait next time. Prob closer to 600.00$ converting to c.a.d with paying for shipping
And priority to get it back here, prob more around 550.00+, or there about. Has been 2 weeks and looks like at least another week before it gets here. So, wherever the mix up was, that cuts out what's left of a riding season.
For the future, if any are looking for ecu to Canada, really investigate postal timing,

Dennis, that timeline sucks, but the flash is the most worthwhile upgrade available for the bike runs, so try not to worry about the wasted time.. Especially on our older gen bikes. Ivan turns the ecu around , in a day, but there's not much that can be done about the shipping.

I know customs sucks. I had to order parts from Italy, and no amount of money guaranteed decent service.

Yes for sure, just a note to any to prepare for some delays. Funny though it took only 4 days to get there, the rest has been customs, and clearing check points.

Denn, probably not the greatest idea for you to have written, " supplies for my Taliban friends" on the box... hat is how customs treats everyting.

The wait sucks, but this flash is the only reason I still have this bike. I did a bunch of slow speed lane splitting, today, and the throttle control there made it very easy to do. That's not even talking about the power.
