2020 model?

Any idea when the 2020 models will be announced? Wondering if I should just wait till the 2020 N1K is announced in case there are some small updates or new colours. From the searching I’ve done, seems like the announced 2020 models around October?

I'm guessing Kawi will give it another year before the next update.

They could also discontinue it. That versys 1000se is nice, as is that lower end h2. Both sit at a price point higher than the ninja, but if a ninja saw many upgrades, it would be right up there, too.

If it stays the same, the color choice will be black and something else, so you can't miss by much. If you like it, get it. No new bike stays current for very long.

Agree with that. There won't be a huge gain by waiting. The big gain would be to upgrade to an H2 SX

There's always a huge gain by waiting until the end of a model year for Kawasakis. As in 20-35% discounts on price! When the '20 hits the market you'll be able to get brand new '18s & '19s for <$10k.

I just picked up a new zero mile 2018 N1K for $8999.00 a few weeks ago - It has everything I want as far as features, ergonomics & power go - If Kawi goes ride by wire so they can have cruise control in 2020 on the N1K "Which would be nice" I'm kind of thinking it might also show up with a 5K bump in price like the new Versys did -

I wondered about that, but a 5k price bump would put the ninja 1000 price very close to the base h2sx. The very base one is 19k. I wonder how the versys 1000, the expensive one, is selling? That might tell us if they have plans for the ninja?

@rcannon409 that's true. I can't find too many dealers near my place in Canada with a 2018/2019 black model so they would have to get one which pretty much means no discount.

OCLandspeeder would love the H2SX if i could afford it but i wonder if the bike probably won't last as long as a non turbo charged one. I put on about 6-8K miles a year so I would guess the turbo would need to be replaced at some point which would be pretty expensive to do.

@PNWBackroads that's a great price. Yea i agree the bike pretty much has everything i want in a bike. But was just wondering if they add a few small changes, it might be worth the 2020 model wait. But I'm leaning more towards getting one now. Hopefully i can sell my Z900 soon.
