Carbon fiber handle covers?

Did you guys see these? The description sucks so its hard to tell if these are "covers" or would one remove the handles, then install these?

looks like they are a replacement cover however our handles have two bolts running through that help hold the tail section together so I don't get the one bolt hole part,. Pricey too!!

You are right....that makes sense. Probably just one hole since nothing ties to it and its just decoration?

As far as cost...as expensive as they are, its still less than the ermax covers.

Not sure why it needs to be so expensive to remove those grab bars.

Well here are the Ermax ones. Same single hole. It uses the forward most hole to mount them.

Here are the ones I fabbed up for my 2012. Cost me about $1000 in R&D and 3-axis CNC machine time.

Made them out of Delrin, and ended up making about 10 sets, which I sold for $120/pair. I ended up breaking even. I still get emails weekly from people all over the world asking if I still make them. HaHa. Just not cost effective. But the nice thing is about my design is (1) they are rock solis, and I can mount a Ventura rack or an SW Motech rack to them, and leave them in place. Goodbye grab rails!

Thanks,,,,,That explains the "hole" thing, i assume the second bolt is hidden under the cover,.. Those Delrin are pretty slick alright,,.

RC,,,,the Ermax include a turn signal delete that's never really made sense to me anyway,,,, currently bundled on sale for 81,34 ,,.
I wonder if anyone has ever asked Ermax for separate pricing on the rear handles,,. They actually loose sales by bundling the two together as not every one wants do do both,,.

Maybe Ill pop em a e-mail?

Yes I was able to find a Euro Blog,,,Z1000SX forum I think where a guy wrote Ermax in France and it sounded like he was able to get a price with paint matched on the handle covers only however the details of the e-mail got removed,,. Someone else commented that they were still expensive and the overseas shipping killed it,,.
By the way the price I mentioned for the combined set wasn't bad but that price was un painted no shipping,,.
One of the things that Ermax does a nice job on it the paint code matching on there accessories,,.

As usual the N1K proves to be a difficult bike to find accessories for!!

I wish we could have had someone make a cheaper version of cooldaddygrooves. They looked perfect, and really are.

Kawasaki sort of almost had some from the old er6n bike. The shape of its handle covers is right on, but they won't stick in to anything. Also, they have 650 molded into them.

I heard finally heard back from Ermax on buying the covers separately,,.

Hello

I guess you talk about the covers to replace the original grab rails and for the front indicators on the Z1000 SX 2011/2016?
This is a complete kit that cannot be separated.

If you need further information, please do not hesitate to answer directly to this message.

Cheers, Cordialement,

Noce....I did contact the carbon fiber people. They sent me a photo of the ermax as ones as an example, so it's like we suspected.
