Absolutely. I've enjoyed motorcycling a long time without those things. In fact, my 2018 Ninja went a step too far with it's TC and keeps me from changing the sprockets. Got me wishing I still had the 2014.

But I'll still be riding the '18 all over the place come next summer.

rcannon409 The slipper is a huge upgrade. Not because of the slip part...its a far better clutch. Its easy to upgrade the older bikes.

That was expensive to do, but not so much now. Ive seen several used clutches on ebay. The last one, a complete versys 1000 model sold for under 200.

Chowda I agree cruise is the item I'd like the most. I've never used a slipper clutch but from what I hear it'd be my second most desirable option. I put a throttlemeister on my 15 and it works well enough for me but a true cruise control would be awesome.

I have to agree. I have a bike with traction control, quick shifter, cruise control, slipper clutch etc. But when I take my 2013 Ninja out for some road crime I really don't miss those things. They definitely have value but the Ninja still puts a big grin on my face.

Among those items the one I appreciate the most is probably the cruise control.

Johnmark101 The 2020 appears to be a huge bang for the buck in the sport touring class, not that it wasn't before. But with all the added features it really is a heck of a lot of bike for the price. Add in the durability and reliability that the bike is already known for and you have an unbeatable package for an all around road bike!

RC65 Finally a video to feature a long look at the 2020:

Rickifumi While comparing Kawasaki's accessories for the 2020 and earlier model years, I noticed the Ergo-Fit reduced height saddle (p/n 99994-0892) is listed as fitting all models, including the 2020. That being so, it may be possible to retrofit the 2020's flatter stock saddle to an earlier model. The new extended reach (15mm taller) gel saddle for 2020 might also work on older bikes.

It would be cool to visit a Kawasaki dealer and do a quick stock saddle swap evaluation...I'm a huge fan of "try before buy"!

I know, just typical of my luck. I enjoy shifting, and can do without all the other stuff. I've never had cruise, so I don't even know what I'm missing. And, I like the black on black better anyway. But, it still ticks me off........

rcannon409 Tbw is something forced on them by emissions. Bmw had to ruin their s1000rr to make it pass USA standards. Maybe not such an issue on that bike as there is good aftermarket support. That wont happen on the Ninja.

Maybe I'll stop looking at the '20. But probably not...............................UGH.
