Bikram, if a person wanted to limit gun sales here, it would have needed to start back in 1930, or 1940. Even that might have been too late.
I suppose I am in the middle of the "wild west". Even at that, If we say my house is in a random location, in a random city, I have seven retailers that are within a 5 mile radius, who sell guns. None of them are new. The newest one is a wal mart that's been there for 12 years. For those 12 years, restrictive legislation has been "right around the corner". Although it never happens, that threat has always been there, and people have horded these weapons. The same was true for ammunition.
Unlike alcohol, cigs, or drugs, guns will pretty much last forever. The ammo does as well. Especially if you dont shoot the gun.
President Obama was in office for 8 years. During that time, my local retailers never had any ammunition in stock. It was sold before it even made it on to their shelves.
Even if you are 100% correct, there are too many out in circulation for the govt to ever get control. Any sort of restrictive legislation just drives the prices higher. Knowing that, guns have become a great investment. Many of the pieces I have are worth 5 times their original value.
