Good article.

Altho I didn't have any issues with insurance rates so maybe the word got out to other insurance companies (I'm with State Farm) and they made the adjustment.

My annual premium for my 17 ninja is about $450/yr.

Thats for full coverage, $500,000 liability, medical and $1000 deduct.

2017 Ninja 1000 ABS - "Damien"
2017 Honda Goldwing - "Bruiser"
2016 KLR650 - "Dusty"
2009 HD Ultra Classic - "Gem"

I'm about the ride....not the brand.

It took kawasaki 7 yrs to help with insurance? Then , they discussed it with one company? Wow. Will it be another 14, or 21 yrs before they talk with another?

Man, I'd hate to have to live in 181,000,per year. The pay cut would hurt!

Seriously, nationwide did give me a great insurance rate.

Yeah, insurance isn't that great for a 29 year old with low experience but no accidents. Allstate wants $900/yr for $100 deductibles. Just tried a Nationwide quote and they wanted $1150 for $500 deductibles. Huge jump from my $170/yr for the 300...

Great article and defiantly spot on with the insurance. The quotes that was giving to me initially when I was thinking on purchasing the Ninja 1000 was a deal breaker ,fortunately the sales manager pull some tricks and got me a great rate at Dairyland insurance .I truly believe this is the main reason you don't see as many ninja 1000 's on the road.
