Top 10 Things That Go Wrong On Group Rides

Quote:
The best way to solve all these problems is to just ride by yourself, old numero uno. But no man is an island, and group rides are their own special kind of fun. At MO, we definitely do our fair share of group rides. Here’s what we’ve learned about the things most likely to go wrong, and what you can do to ward them off ahead of time.

Left out unstructured riding positions and I'm not talking actual rider position but more of who rides where. One of the most experienced riders should always be the leader and the other very experienced rider should be the tail. Novice riders should be in the middle of the pack. Too many times, the novice riders are crashing because they are at the very end of the pack and worry so they ride faster than their abilities to keep up and they end up crashing. The leader needs to set the pace, keep track of his "pack", and make sure everyone is riding at a solid and steady pace. But other than this, great piece as always.

This is basically spam. Article empty of value with slides so that more ads are displayed.

From the point of ignition to the final drive
The point of the journey is not to arrive

Yup, don't even bother clicking the link. It's all stupid garbage, split up into 12 pages so they can serve a fresh set of ads on every page. It's the lowest form of garbage on the internet.

1st on the list is "Be sure to meet at the right Starbucks." Really? You stupid *****.

I should have known better but I clicked anyway.

I feel like writing a retaliatory article. Maybe I'll post about my drag racing experience this coming weekend at Proving Grounds.

Have been on group rides with 9 people ranging from my friend to their friends friend and had a great time with no issues even with one bringing his younger daughter and a couple had wife's or girlfriends. on the flip side have been on outings with a really nice guy I meet the day before at the dealer ship and dang was it a nightmare literally from jump street. He was late and I meet him on his side of town, he needed gas and hadn't driven 10 minutes to get there, was worried about his lights all working, tires and oil. At one point he drove right past the exit we wanted and I thought about leaving him but was afraid the poor fool would get lost and end up in Oak Cliff the bad side of Dallas. Wasn't really in a hurry to do anything particular that day but it had me on edge being with him and I never road with him again. That's I guess how you learn who to roll with though?

Motorcycling is not of itself, inherently dangerous. It is however extremely unforgiving of - INATTENTION, IGNORANCE, OVERCONFIDENCE AND STUPIDITY.

They were not very clear as to what we are supposed to do with Sta Bil.....Are we supposed to pour it into the tank, or drink it ourselves?

Also, they were not very clear......should join AAA, or just AA???
